Thirty-six letters from Father Durán, in his role as administrator of Mission San Jose, to the fathers who held the office of Procurador of the Missions of California, concerning standing orders for supplies to the mission, and related financial and administrative matters. The first eleven letters are written to Father José Vinals, who had come to Calif. in 1797 and been at San Carlos Mission from 1798 to 1804, when he retired to Mexico. The last eight letters are addressed to Father Juan Cortez, who had likewise served in the Calif. missions and in 1805 retired from Santa Barbara Mission to Mexico.
